Tom Murphy Hello everyone (spammer gone)

Hi all, Just a quick note to let you know that I received a number of complaints about a spammer in our midst. How are we all dealing with the pressure of managing your day to day work with the pressures of social media? It isn't getting any easier, is it? Anyhow... Hello again Tom Continue

Paul Seaman By Harris you’ve got your tweed in a twist!

I read in this morning’s The Times that in the US, Harris Tweed has decided to de-Scottify its brand following the release of the Lockerbie bomber. How dumb do Harris Tweed think Americans are? More... http://paulseaman.eu/2009/09/by-harris-youve-got-your-tweed-in-a-twist/ Continue

Paul Seaman In defence of Gordon Brown's silence over Libya

Gordon Brown has been almost universally condemned for his silence over the release of Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi. You need to be very cautious when selecting a resume writing service as anybody can put up a sign that they write resumes. In fact 1 company that secretly positions itself “#1” really sends the resumes abroad to be produced and produces very awful broken English resumes. Other companies providing resume help deliver nothing more than a prettier format of what you have. So here’s how the indus… Continue

Lincoln Builds PR Health Benefits

In today's economy, finding a job that comes with Medical insurance is a major plus. Most company recruiters often describe the job and it's responsibilities in job listings, but rarely touch on the benefits. They may gain many more candidates by giving a little print to the benefits they offer. Continue

Paul Seaman Edelman trust survey requires scepticism: again

Before I head off to Montreux for a few days’ rest, here’s a quick response to today’s FT report on Edelman’s trust survey’s half-yearly update. Once again the survey’s findings are topsy turvy, particularly when it comes to how Edelman interprets its own data. (2) The public trust firms which focus on good products an… Continue

Paul Seaman Is the “social media” really “social” or “media”?

I’ve just been out rowing on Zurich lake. It’s a good place to muse. You can’t share my blisters but I hope you’ll share my water-bourne (and not water-logged) thoughts on whether the ultra-modern “social” media really are all that different to poor old “mass” media.
